FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions visitors ask most, answered from what the Academy has actually published. If your question is not here, contact the team — every message is answered.

What courses does the Academy offer?

Three courses — Development 101, Development 102 and Development 103 — taught in the order the work happens: qualify a project, structure it, then build it. Each course runs over three days. See the courses and the curriculum.

What is the difference between virtual and in-person?

The same course is offered in two formats. Virtual cohorts meet live online and are capped at 24 seats. In-person cohorts meet in McKinney, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth) and are capped at 20 seats. Format is always labelled on the schedule — locations and formats.

How much does a course cost?

A single virtual seat is $995, or $1,495 for a pair enrolling together. A single in-person seat is $1,995, or $2,995 for a pair. Course-by-course tuition against the three paths is on Paths & pricing. Tuition is charged as quoted — no hidden fees.

Are there discounts?

Yes — 10% for DMD members and 25% for verified eligible service, applied to eligible individual Academy tuition. Discounts never stack; the best valid price applies. See discounts and verification.

How do I get a seat?

When a cohort shows Registration Open, choose your seat and complete payment. Seats are first come, first served, and a seat is held only when payment completes — an abandoned checkout does not keep it. Current availability and dates are always live on the schedule.

When is the next cohort?

The Academy releases one cohort per course and format at a time. The next cohort in each sequence stays locked until the current one is genuinely sold out — only then does it open, with its full date, price and seat count. Until a date is confirmed it is marked tentative.

The cohort I want is sold out — what now?

Join the waitlist. Waitlists are first in, first out, cost nothing and hold no seat. If a seat opens, it is offered to the waitlist in order under a timed claim window. A sold-out cohort also unlocks the next cohort in that course and format, which you can register for directly. How waitlists work.

Should I start with Development 101?

The courses are sequenced in the order real development work happens, and the Complete Development Path runs 101 → 102 → 103. If you are unsure where you fit, Paths & pricing compares the options, and each course page states the question that course answers.

What are Inner Circle and Private Coaching?

Two application-based programs beyond the courses. Inner Circle is a 12-month membership — $10,000 paid in full, or $1,000 a month for twelve months ($12,000 in total). Private Coaching is a 12-month engagement limited to six members — $20,000 paid in full, or $2,000 a month for twelve months ($24,000 in total), and it includes Inner Circle. Applying is free and reserves nothing. Inner Circle, Private Coaching.

When is the Annual Summit?

Tentative planning dates are October 21–23, 2027, in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, in a hybrid format (in person + virtual). These are planning dates, not a final venue confirmation, and registration is not yet open. You can join the announcement list on the Summit page.
